Head Teacher’s Message

I would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to our website, where you will find information about our school and be able to see our learners’ work. We are a public primary school that is committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of all the learners in our care.

At Uhuru Gardens Primary School we strive to enforce our learners to be self driven, respectful, honest, peaceful, loving and patriotic citizens. We nurture the growth of the whole child- academically, socially, emotionally, morally and physically-celebrating all achievement in a safe, caring and creative environment. We believe a happy child will be a successful child and work to ensure every child enjoys school and achieves success. We do this by providing the best teaching and learning experiences that we can through an exciting and engaging curriculum.

We strive to provide holistic education for our learners’ development to a responsible self-reliant citizen. Uhuru Gardens Primary School is a successful and popular school in our region. We are a well resourced school situated in Langata sub-county. We believe technology creates an opportunity to bolster problem solving and decision making skills therefore, we have invested a lot in our ICT Sector and have an ultra modern ICT facility fully funded and equipped by the Korean Government in conjunction with our Kenyan Government and is one of the best ICT centers in our country. We believe that technology is the future and strive to empower our learners with the skills necessary. We want our learners to learn together and fulfill their potential, laying the foundations for a lifelong journey of discovery and exploration.

We have a very dedicated and hard working staff who will go that extra mile- as only the best will do for the learners in our care.  We work in a very close partnership with parents so that every child is fully supported. We know the importance that parents play in their child’s education and so welcome their involvement in their child’s education and in the life of our school. We ask your opinion on a regular basis and have an active Parent and Teacher Association, as well as inviting you into school as much as possible. We encourage parents/careers to come into school to discuss any concerns or issues.

Please take the opportunity to visit us and experience the inspiring and positive atmosphere here – just call the office to make an appointment.   I would be delighted to show you around.
