Uhuru Gardens Primary School was started in 1984 is located of Langata Road in Nairobi County. The school has an area of about 5 acres. The onset of the free primary education led to increased enrollment of students from the nearby Kibra informal settlement.
Uhuru Gardens Primary School is a model institution for ICT integration in education. The government of Korea, in collaboration with the Kenyan Government built a Hub to spearhead ICT in the country. The ICT Center was completed in November 2018.
The School looks to continue to invest in its students in this new strategic period by providing integral support to allow them to address challenges faced in the community by providing complementary services to enhance learning.
It seeks to create a rich and quality education experience for students from diverse backgrounds by providing a supporting environment and addressing the students basic needs.
